Cancel 11 or more days before your rental start date and your payment is refunded less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations 10 or fewer days before the start are not refunded. Early returns are not refunded.

If Beach Better requires the vehicle back because of a hurricane, tropical storm or other unforeseen safety issue, unused days are prorated and refunded. If the vehicle is recovered for prohibited use (driving on US Highway 98, riding without seat belts, carrying a child under 4 without a proper restraint, an unapproved driver), the rental ends and the refund for unused time is $0. Every driver must be 22 or older for the entire rental, hold a valid driver's license, carry auto insurance in his or her own name, and be listed and approved on the executed rental agreement before driving. Two drivers are included; each additional driver is $15 and e-signs the extra driver form before driving. A spouse must be listed too. Lockbox codes go only to approved, listed drivers. Letting an unapproved person drive is prohibited use: it voids RCP and Damage Forgiveness and shifts every claim to the renter.

No. A true golf cart is not street legal. Beach Better rents Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs): titled, plated, federally classified under 49 C.F.R. 571.500 and Section 320.01, Florida Statutes, with a federal top speed cap of 25 mph. The words "golf cart" describe the body style; the law treats the vehicle as a motor vehicle. Details: Florida LSV laws.

Roads posted 35 mph or under, including Scenic Gulf Drive and 30A. Off limits: US Highway 98 (Emerald Coast Parkway) and Business 98 including their shoulders and pedestrian paths (cross only at a signalized intersection where the crossing road is 35 mph or under), sidewalks, the beach and sand, dunes, trails and any road posted above 35 mph. Confirm with your property manager before booking; the rules are set by HOAs and resort management, not by Beach Better. Many communities allow owners to have carts but bar renters from renting them, and seeing carts on the street is not proof. Beach Better does not deliver to Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, Seaside, WaterColor, WaterSound or Prominence. RCP is real third party insurance underwritten by National Interstate Insurance Company, not a damage waiver: $39.50 per driver per day, $500 deductible, $20,000 maximum payout (3 days $118.50, 5 days $197.50, 7 days $276.50). It covers collision damage to the rental vehicle during the active rental, at fault or not, including backing and curb strikes. It does not cover theft, intentional damage, other people's property or injuries, or damage caused while violating the agreement. It must be purchased before the rental agreement is signed, is per driver, and is non transferable and non refundable once added. An optional $8.00 per day add on that covers the first $250 of damage to the rental vehicle. It is not insurance and does not replace RCP. Details: Damage Forgiveness.

The renter's and driver's own motor vehicle insurance is primary under Section 627.7263, Florida Statutes; the rental owner's coverage applies only above the limits Florida law sets. If RCP was purchased, it responds to collision damage to the rental vehicle after the $500 deductible. Steps after any accident, even a minor single vehicle one: call 911, stay until released by law enforcement, never admit fault, get the police report number, text (850) 830-4699 once the scene is secure, open a claim with your own insurer and pass the claim number to Beach Better. RCP claims require the police report; call Corporate Claims Service at (267) 332-0814, extension 119 or 115, and mail the claim form within 90 days. Reference: Florida LSV laws and RCP.

• Call 911 and report the accident. Do not leave the scene. Obtain an accident report from the sheriff. Treat it the same way as an accident in your car or truck. To report an accident, click here.
• When conditions and regulations permit, move onto the shoulder or side of the roadway to prevent further damage or hazards.
• Keep calm. Be courteous. Do not argue. Make no statement concerning the accident to anyone except a police officer. Get the officer's name and badge number. Make no settlement.
• Obtain the names and addresses of witnesses and of all persons injured, however minor the injury. Try to learn where the injured are treated.
• Text the Beach Better rental team at (850) 830-4699 to report the incident. An Incident Report form is required to document all damages involved in an accident.

Stranded carts due to dead batteries and lost keys are not emergencies; those needs are handled during business hours. A stranded recovery or tow is $200 flat; a lost key or glow remote is $50.

Delivery is free in Destin, Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, and Seagrove and Inlet Beach. The cart is staged the morning the rental starts and the window is confirmed by text within 24 hours; you do not need to be home. The lockbox code is emailed at 7 AM the day before and texted again once the cart is staged; the lockbox sits on the passenger floorboard of a 4 seat electric, the middle row floorboard of a 6 seat electric, and under the middle row seat on the gas tank of a gas cart. Hotels and resorts are sometimes possible; confirm first. At the end, leave the cart and the key where it was delivered. Store self pickup at 76 N Holiday Rd uses a 24/7 lockbox and is typically the lowest priced option, with a curbside discount for Destin and Miramar Beach. Details: free delivery.

Electric: plug it in at the end of every day on a dedicated outlet and return it plugged in at 90 percent or more, or a $100 fee applies; never run it below 50 percent. Gas: return with a full tank of 87 octane unleaded or pay the $30 refuel fee, or prepay fuel for $18.50. Late return is $100 per hour; a lost key or glow remote $50; a missing charging cord $50; a stranded recovery or tow $200; citations and tolls are charged at the full amount plus a $35 administrative fee per item; damage is charged at the actual repair cost. All four. Live rates show on every cart and update with your dates, cart type and delivery zone or pickup; a monthly rental carries the lowest per day rate. Single day rentals depend on fleet availability, typically Sunday to Thursday outside peak summer. Groups of 7 to 12 take two carts; a gas four seater is not offered (all gas units are lifted six seaters). Yes. Seat belts at every seat for every rider, always (Section 316.614, Florida Statutes); no standing, no lap riding, no belt sharing at any age. Child restraints follow Section 316.613: through age 3 a crash tested, federally approved separate carrier or the cart's integrated child seat (a booster is not sufficient); age 4 or 5 a separate carrier, the integrated seat or a booster. Beach Better does not supply or install restraints. A vehicle observed without belts or with a child under 4 unrestrained is recovered with a $0 refund. Statutes: Florida LSV laws.

Renting is agreeing to an electronically signed rental agreement with Destin Sunshine LLC d/b/a Beach Better, governed by Florida law; the e-signature is binding under Sections 668.004 and 668.50, Florida Statutes and 15 U.S.C. 7001. The agreement includes an assumption of risk: an LSV sits higher and weighs less than a car and can tip or roll over in a sharp or fast turn, and the renter accepts those inherent risks for every driver, passenger and guest, including any minor signed for. Disputes go to binding individual arbitration in Walton County, Florida under the Federal Arbitration Act, with class action and jury trial waivers.
